Who’s Behind Ceramigeek
MY STORY
Hi, I’m Nathy :)
I’m the creator of Ceramigeek. After years of studying ceramic art, sculpture, and mold making, I developed my own unique way of transforming colored porcelain into one-of-a-kind characters.
That’s how Ceramigeek was born: from a desire to bring together ceramics, creativity, and everything that has always sparked my imagination.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
My journey with sculpting began in childhood, working with cold porcelain. Over the years, I experimented with different materials, techniques, and possibilities until I discovered high-fire ceramics and that’s when I found the material I truly wanted to create with.
Through years of studying, testing, making mistakes, and starting over, I gradually developed my own unique way of working. Little by little, colored porcelain, plaster molds, and hand sculpting came together and from that combination, what we now know as Ceramigeek was born.
FROM MY STUDIO TO YOURS
As Ceramigeek grew, I began receiving more and more messages from people wanting to understand how I created my pieces, worked with color, and brought my characters to life.
That’s when I realized that everything I had spent years learning could also become a path for others to follow.
And that’s how Ceramigeek Academy was born: a space created to organize, teach, and share my method in a practical and accessible way and, above all, to inspire others to create with their own hands.
WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS
Welcome to My Studio
Ceramigeek has a place to call its own, too. My studio was specially designed to support every stage of my creative process from the very first idea to the finished piece.
More than just a workspace, it’s where I spend my days experimenting, sculpting, testing colors, creating characters, and, of course, making that little bit of creative mess every ceramic artist knows all too well. :)
Every corner was thoughtfully designed to make the creative process more functional, inspiring, and, above all, unmistakably Ceramigeek. This is where the pieces you see here come to life and where many of the Academy’s lessons and content are created, too.
WHY CERAMIGEEK?
A lot of my inspiration comes from the stories and characters I love. Books, movies, games, and fantastical worlds have always been a part of who I am, so when it came time to give all of this a name, Ceramigeek felt almost obvious.
Ceramics + geek. Two things that are part of who I am and, together, perfectly describe the universe I’ve created.
Ceramigeek became my way of turning the things that inspire me into something real, handcrafted in porcelain and full of personality.
