A handmade Ceramigeek ceramic piece

Handmade ceramics

Characters born from porcelain

Unique characters, handcrafted one at a time and a method designed to teach you how to bring your own to life.

Unique pieces

Each piece, one of a kind

Each character is created one at a time, entirely by hand, with its own details, little differences, and plenty of personality.

The pieces arrive on the website in special collections and small quantities, always ready to ship and even when a character makes a comeback, it will never be exactly the same as the one before. After all, handmade pieces don’t come with Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V 😂

Collection launched!

How it's made

From sketch to finished piece

A visual overview of the journey each piece takes through the studio.

  1. Sketch

The character first comes to life on paper or with the help of AI. You don’t need to know how to draw — you just need to be able to visualize the initial idea.

  2. Base

We begin forming the mug using Ceramigeek’s official plaster mold. (Illustrative image)

  3. Sculpting

After unmolding the base, we begin bringing the character to life: sculpting the face, adding the arms, and all the details that transform the original idea into a one-of-a-kind piece. (Illustrative image)

  4. Drying

The drying stage can vary depending on the humidity of the environment, but on average, we allow around 7 days for the piece to dry completely before moving on to the next stage. (Illustrative image)

  5. Polishing

After drying, we begin polishing the piece, refining rougher details, smoothing the surface, and correcting small imperfections. (Illustrative image)

  6. Bisque Firing

After polishing, the piece goes through its first firing, known as the bisque firing. This is the stage where the piece gains strength and structure, although it is not yet finished. (Illustrative image)

  7. Glazing

Once the piece has been bisque-fired, we apply the glazes that give every detail of the character its colour and shine. (Illustrative image)

  8. High-temperature firing

The last firing, at high temperature, melts the glaze and gives the porcelain its strength and translucency: the piece is finished. (Illustrative image)

What if you could make your own?

Over the years I worked out my own way of combining coloured porcelain, plaster moulds and hand sculpting. Today I share that process to help other people turn their own ideas into handmade characters.

Behind Ceramigeek

Hi, I'm Nathy :)
